MVA Launches Convenient, Online Appointment Scheduling for Commercial Driver License Driving Test
GLEN BURNIE, MD (February 3, 2015) – Today, the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) announces the launch of a convenient solution for Marylanders seeking to schedule a commercial driver license (CDL) driving test. CDL applicants now have the ability to schedule an appointment online to take their road test. Previously limited to a phone call or visit to a MVA branch office during business hours, the appointment can now be scheduled from a computer at any time day or night.
To schedule an appointment, visit the MVA website at www.maryland.gov and select online services and then central scheduling system (CSS).
The CSS provides the applicants with a one-stop shop to schedule a CDL driving test appointment. After logging into the CSS, an applicant will see all available test times at MVA’s 12 CDL driving test locations across the State. By checking multiple locations during the logged in session, an applicant can select the earliest appointment available. Only one appointment can be scheduled at a time.
“MVA offers many conveniences for our customers to conduct their MVA business on their own time,” said Milt Chaffee, MVA administrator. “This is just one of the many MVA services available from anywhere at any time using MVA online.”
To be eligible to schedule a CDL appointment online, applicants must hold a valid Maryland commercial learner’s permit, valid Maryland driver’s license, and a valid medical examiner’s certificate (DOT physical card). Applicants must have held their Maryland commercial learner’s permit for a minimum of 2 weeks.
