Maryland Officials to Announce Number of Fatalities in Traffic Crashes in 2018
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Deputy Secretary Jim Ports will join state and local officials and community partners to announce the preliminary number of deaths in 2018 on Maryland roadways.
The announcement will take place during Maryland’s Annual Highway Safety Summit. The event highlights Maryland’s commitment to its Strategic Highway Safety Plan, a statewide collaboration between federal, state and local partners to reduce the number of traffic fatalities and serious injuries in half by 2030.
