The Maryland Highway Safety Office's (MHSO) grants application for FFY 2015(October 1, 2014-September 30, 2015) opens on February 3, 2014. Organizations eligible for grant awards include state and local governments, law enforcement agencies, non-profit organization and institutions of higher education. The purpose of the highway safety grant program is to fund activities aimed at reducing the number of motor-related crashes, deaths and injuries on Maryland highways. The MHSO has two types of grant programs available. The first is the Law Enforcement Overtime grant, with a proposal deadline of March 3, 2014. The other is the General Highway Safety Grant with a proposal deadline of March 14, 2015.
