MVA Express Office at Kenilworth to Move to New North Plaza Location
Baltimore County Site More Centrally Located, Provides Better Access to More Customers
Maryland Secretary of Transportation Robert L. Flanagan has announced that effective this September, the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) Express office at The Shops at Kenilworth in Baltimore County will move to a new site in the North Plaza Shopping Center located in the Loch Raven/Parkville area. MVA customers who need to quickly renew their driver’s license, obtain an identification card, return tags, and receive driving records will still have easy access to these services at the North Plaza location.
“Governor Ehrlich has made customer service a top priority for the state government,” said Secretary Flanagan. “We believe the new Loch Raven/Parkville Express Office will offer many important features for people in this part of the state. The office will still be convenient to the many residents of Towson, Timonium, and Baltimore who use the current location, but it also will be accessible to people who live in places like Loch Raven, Parkville, Carney, and Perry Hall. The new location has abundant parking, and offers MVA the opportunity to add counters and personnel to deal with increased demand in the future.”
The MVA Express Office first opened its doors in The Shops at Kenilworth shopping center in the fall of 1989. Kenilworth Limited Partnership, owners of the shopping center, recently informed the MVA that the express office lease at this location would not be renewed due to alternate plans for the shopping center. MVA surveyed 14 sites before identifying the North Plaza as the best location.
Scheduled to open in mid-September, the Loch Raven/Parkville MVA Express will be located at 8946 Waltham Woods Road in the North Plaza Shopping Center. The location is less than two miles off of Perring Parkway exit 30B, and is just a few miles from the current MVA Express Office. The hours of operation will remain Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
