Offices of the Motor Vehicle Administration will be closed on Friday, November 27, 2009 in compliance with the statewide budget reduction plan. MVA will also be closed on Saturday, November 28, 2009. This action is being taken to help address a projected state budget shortfall of more than $700 million for Fiscal Year 2010. MVA offices will also be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2009 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday and will reopen and routine operations will resume on Monday, November 30, 2009. Effective December 2009, the MVA will be piloting a new noncommercial driving skills test at the following MVA Branch Office Locations: ESSEX, WHITE OAK and LARGO. The new driving skills test will consist of both an off-road (course) portion to test various driving skills and a portion that will be performed on a public road.
